A question was posed to me by a family member if we should start DCA'ing into crypto as it becomes more readily accepted as a payment method
I am not a crypto investor and am not very knowledgable in the space. I have a small position in
$COIN, but that was a FOMO/flyer position
My thoughts on crypto as a whole are that it seems more like an investment since the value appreciates over time (for the most part). The price appreciation does not make it a strong transactional token (thinking about the guy who bought pizza with Bitcoin). However, I do think there is the potential for crypto to eventually become a currency.
That being said, my response to the family member's question was - who will be the players in the crypto transaction space if/when these currencies become more accepted as a form of payment?
Will it be somebody like the traditional
$V or
$MA?
I think there could potentially be value in the transactional space.
Again, I have very minimal knowledge in crypto, but wanted to ask the question - what companies will be leaders in transactions as usage of crypto grows?
