Voyager Digital Ltd - (Comm & Variable Voting)

I don’t have time to explain what a short squeeze is here. They are rare and super uncommon. **$VYGVF**

Three things need to happen for them to work in my opinion:

1. Large amount of insiders holding a disproportionately large amount of the float. - in the case of Voyager, CHECK
‌‌
2. An unreasonably high volume of shares sold short. Some finance academics say anything over 10% is actually bullish. I say anything over 45% is fish in a barrel. In the case of Voyager, the reported shares short was in the ~70% neighborhood, not mention the unreported OTC puts. The float short probably well exceeds 70, even though some people are trying to get out. In the case of Voyager - CHECK

3. The underlying fundamentals of a company are very strong, suggesting that anyone buying into the company is looking for long-term gains. Paper hands can kill a short squeeze, even on wall street. While the days to cover ratio means many shorters will be able to rally to cover, if retailers stop selling the damn shares the short sellers are toast. VYGVF is a crypto exchange. It’s so obvious. Don’t be ridiculous. Even if crypto tanks some, Voyager still makes money because paper hands will trade.

If the squeeze gets really bad, Voyager can quickly shoot up to $150-200, a price I believe it could reach three months after the Coinbase IPO. In other words, it would never come down, just hang in profits.

I am buying more.

Google private placement with the guys mentioned on my Twitter. They are locked in most likely for several million in shares. Their float isn’t even floating! But for that reason, it wouldn’t be reflected in the numbers.

How are you getting your short interest number? Would seem if a majority tied up by insiders, that 70% short interest would be hard to get to?

There was another large private placement a few months ago around $100M. When Coinbase IPOs, moon 🚀🚀🚀NASDAQ listing, moon again 🚀🚀🚀🚀. If they get caught in this short squeeze, moon long before than.

Joined My Voyage(r) a week Ago? Up 30+%! Why there’s still time...

I invested in private markets a lot last year because crises are when solutions are born. Many companies born or reinvented out of the pandemic will emerge much stronger. One of these companies is Voyager Digital - $VYGVF - which really felt to me like i was getting into a venture capital round of a company with all the pieces. 

Growing market - Cryptocurrency and Digital Assets

Growing Audience - Millennial and Gen Z groups despise traditional finance. Where some communities in the US are “underbanked” across generations, these two generations rather not bank. They despise debt, largely thanks to ballooning cost of student loans and college tuition.  Where traditional investors of 80s and 90/ might flock to CDs, bonds, or money markets for 5% interest or more, this generation is using DeFi protocols, collateralized lending, NFTs, and platforms like Voyager for their yield pick axes. It’s such an obvious investment, I wish i was more disciplined and could justify a larger bet. 

Management Team - stellar management team. I cannot say enough about how much the CEO is focused on the company’s users. That’s the right way to be. Some communication from marketing has been confusing, but the executives are focused on the right things. 

Fundamentals - mist of the float is held by insiders. Balance sheet looks great for this early stage company, particularly the return on invested capital. If a squeeze catches on here, I am holding the stock to $500. 

Look, several crypto players will go public over the next four years. There’s a combined market for all of them well in the trillions.

This is a really interesting idea-

In the IPO chat you had a really good question that I want more people to see in case someone has an answer:

"$VYGVF is shorted 75% of the float at the moment. Why would somebody be on the short side of a crypto exchange right now? It doesn’t make sense at all.

Also, I believe insiders hold a large percentage of the shares. Can someone justify the short side of the trade prior to the Coinbase IPO?"

Maybe it makes sense to highlight some growth KPIS -> 

1. Net cash deposits into the platform in December were $30M. In January, $120M. This month, a lot more than that, I’m sure. 

2. Social Media profile growing very rapidly. 

3. The proportion of funded accounts that are new accounts should probably improve as the company is able to onboard new users faster now. 

What platform you buying that stock on? Like the idea, like the rationale 

excellent piece, Marcus - we have been shareholders since the reverse listing. Had no idea it was so shorted, but agree on fundamentals too. AUM is exploding and revenues should equate to roughly 8-10% of AUM..

@marcussorealheis have you checked out the Voyager Token? been hit very hard and gets you 1% more interest if you keep your assets on their platform if you own it. I haven't  studied it closely, but has seemed to decouple from the stock in recent weeks. I think the other thing Steve has done, which is probably under-appreciated, is build a highly compliant and security focused platform. There are a few Voyager clones starting to emerge out here in Asia too.

Is there a reason we should love the token?

No, don't think so - except for the benefit of better interest if holding your crypto on their platform. i haven't looked into coin in detail.

Squeeze or no squeeze, I expect my trade to be up 30% next week because bitcoin is through the roof and not stopping. Furthermore, $HBAR.X is on Voyager not Coinbase and it will keep going for a long time. The company will acquire thousands of customers for that alone.
