$V Earnings Yesterday
$V reported 4th Q and Fiscal Year end earnings yesterday, and the company saw some good progress in their financials and give us some more food for thought on the potential upcoming storm.

As the banks reported, they still see strong consumer spending, which corresponds to Visa's reporting yesterday. The highlights from the company show how strong the cross-border payments have been, and along with the growing revenues.

"In Visa’s fiscal fourth quarter, we saw a continuation of many of the spending trends present
throughout 2022: strength in consumer payments, resilience in eCommerce and ongoing recovery in cross-border travel. These trends contributed to robust full-year 2022 results,
with net revenues, net income and EPS all up more than 20% year-over-year, despite
broader macroeconomic uncertainty and geopolitical turmoil." - Alfred Kelly, CEO

Overall, a strong quarter and year, and continued good recovery from the pandemic. However, not everything is sunshine and roses, as the company faces some potential regulatory headwinds here in the US and abroad.

I am long Visa, and it is my largest position, tied with Berkshire Hathaway and Adyen, and it will be interesting to watch.
