I was curious to see if a different kind of strategy tracking the indicies yielded different returns.

The below are three strategies and their returns.


Strategy
1. Buying at the beginning of the year and holding
2. Buying at the close and selling at the open (daily)
3. Buying at the open and selling at the close (daily)

My issue with strategies like this is - how do you answer the question: "When will I know if it has stopped working?". That + tax efficiency if in non-IRA account.
