Our models have revealed the following undervalued themes:

  1. Healthcare and biotech

Innovations (from the fight against the pandemic) will set off break-throughs.

  1. US shale oil

The sector is coming from a wave of consolidation and oil & gas prices are already high.

  1. Emerging markets

High priced commodities will fuel the next growth phase.

  1. US for-profit education

The sector has a bad reputation and is squaring off against angry parents and politicians.

Little attention is paid to the photonics industry which has recently undergone a consolidation, and is in recovery mode.

Our quantamental valuation shows Lumentum Holdings $LITE to the best undervalued opportunity to benefit from recovery and mega trends - iphone cycle, autonomous vehicles, use of 3D laser in consumer electronics and faster fibre optic connectivity.

The US shale oil industry is currently in its last phase of consolidation, and on the other side, oil prices are higher and are forecast to remain there for longer.

Even more exciting, some opportunities are still priced for bankruptcy.

Our quantamental valuation shows that Callon Petroleum Corp $CPE and Diamondback Energy $FANG are the best undervalued opportunities to benefit from high oil and gas prices.$CPE is more undervalued as it is priced for bankruptcy.

We define worth as the number of lives a person or company positively impacts.

Worth = no.lives x positive impact.

It is from this understanding that we believe impact investing is the ultimate investment strategy. SRI and ESG investing are just extensions.

What are your thoughts on a quantamental investment strategy that combines big data (quantitative) with fundamental data?

I saw big data being used in tradings and investments - my concern though is stock market is very information sensitive and at times it can be altered by wrong data plus too many variables in my opinion (which can be hella wrong). What do you think of it?
