- Prior to choosing a company for our next write-up, we follow a thorough screening process to increase the chances of selecting the most promising investment opportunity. During our research, the company's weaknesses may become apparent, or we may determine that it is overpriced.
- However, this process allows us to accumulate knowledge, discover potential new additions to our portfolio, and set a value target. This targeted price assists us in taking action if the right opportunity arises.
So what do we look for?
Our investing process is simple. We follow a bottom-up approach and perform fundamental analysis to identify stocks that shall display among others the following attributes:
- Leaders in their industries or disruptors with superior business model
- Wide moat allowing them to retain margins and market position
- Strong financials
If a company possesses the above attributes and the price meets our hurdle rate, we initiate a position.
