Games.
There are two kinds of games, finite games, and infinite games.

A finite game is played for the purpose of winning, one that is definite and bounded, as is for most of human activities.

Whereas an infinite game is played for the purpose of continuing to play. There is no winning, no defined set of rules or pre-agreed conditions to complete or to win.

Investing in a way is like an infinite game. It might seem like a series of finite games, but it is actually an infinite game.

The point of playing is to bring new players into the game, so that they can play too. You never “win”, the play just gets more and more rewarding.

You contribute to help, so that you can keep participating and playing. You might make lots of money, but it was not a goal, it is the result.

So, play an infinite game, not a finite game. It gets you thinking long-term and differently from others.
