$RYCEY - price at 3 dollars.
I pick up this stock at abt 1.75 during the covid period. Due too travel restrictions all airline related companies struggled to survived.

Based on yesterday's price at $3 it's a good 70% up for me. Keeping my fingers crossed that their operational profits stabilize. Watching out for news of Airlines buying Airbus models as well.

Nov - Dec Option trades I did. $RIOT, $MARA, $VICR, $VRT, $PLTR, $FSR, $CAMT, $NTNX, $SE
OK.. I have been forced to move my trading account over to IBKR from TDA. So last month I was just busy with closing off, kicking my options further out to create a window to facilitate the transfer. I had to cut loss on some counters due to margin calculation differences etc. However, I’m unable to link my IBKR Pro account to CS, so my trades can’t be seen at the moment. Reached out the tech team but no responses as they are busy with Yahoo’s integration probably.

Nevertheless, I will try to give short notes on what I did for Nov.
  1. $RIOT - Purchased a mixed of sell Calls with strike around $10.5, $11, $11.5 across different weeks. I also have a sell put to pick up Riot at $10 strike. Slightly riskier trade as Riot is volatile, but the premium good. So, I’ll watch this more frequently to manage it.
  2. $MARA – I had purchased physical shares on this counter so I will be doing sell Calls with strikes around $10.5, $11, $11.5 across different weeks.
  3. $VICR – I got assignment of this stock due to a bad news report, it fell from $5x to $3x. So I will actively do sell calls on this to eventually sell it away. Sell calls will be around $45, If I recover the losses, I will move the strike to $40.
  4. $VRT – I have sell put at $32.5 strike for Nov and Dec. Just waiting for it to expire worthless.
  5. $PLTR – I have a sell put due 17 Nov at $15.5 strike it should end up worthless and premiums will be in pocket.
  6. $FSR- My sell call at $7.5 (Nov) and $8 (Dec) should expire worthless since the delay in reporting drove the price down. I am still stocking up on the physical shares when it hit my limit entry price.
  7. $CAMT – I had some physical shares but I got a little worried due to the gaza issue as their plant is in the northern area. So I sold at slight loss but the share only went down for about 2-3 weeks or so and it’s at ~$64. But I do have sell put at $35 and $45 strike which should end up worthless and I get to keep the premium. If there are opportunity, I will buy back some shares for holding.
  8. $NTNX – I had a $27.5 sell put which should expire worthless given that the share price had run up.
  9. $SE – I had a sell call at $50 strike with expiry date in Dec.

That’s all for now!

What are some platform where the options feature are as good as TD Ameritrade?
Does anyone have suggestion of brokers who has options search similar to TDA and Singapore investors can open account without issue. I need to look for another alternative platform as TDA is closing out the retail trading in SG. I have IBKR pro but the options trading is not too friendly.

TDA stop serving retail investors in SG.

I think it's likely Charles Schwab not able to get the license to comply with the local authorities. I'll have to do some major review of my holdings before moving my account out. I may have to do some cut loss on a number of counters as the margins cost are different if I were to switch to another platform. I really wanted to !#@!$#@%# TDA to be honest. The POS really annoys me now.

Sep 23 Options - $AI, $CAMT,$NTNX, $PLTR, $NIO, $SQQQ
My latest trades are not showing up on my trades page so I can't link it to the post. But I will try to recall as much as possible.

  1. AI - I closed out put options on 8 &15 Sep (25 strike) as there's earnings reporting, both with profits. Open a 15 Sep put at (23 strike).
  2. CAMT - Sell put 20 Oct (40 strike), 15 Dec (35 strike). A company that build chip testing instrument, to ride on the increase of AI chip fabrication.
  3. NTNX - Sell put 20 Oct (30 Strike). A company that does cloud computing.
  4. PLTR - Closed out a 22 Sep sell call (19.5 strike) for 4 cents, Open a new 22 Sep sell call (17.5 strike)
  5. NIO - Sell put 15 Sep (10 Strike), 29 Sep (9 strike), I did some small qty short on this company as China economy is very sensitive to negative news. Any bad news can sent China related stock south. Further to it NIO will also be impacted if Tesla do price cut, so I figured this company will be more volatile.
  6. Closed out my physical SQQQ holdings did a short + sell put rolling it to cover the short qty. I will look to trade this if market goes south and pushes SQQQ to a higher price. Doing this in small qty much like what I did for TDOC.

Post Aug 23 options outcome.
  1. $RIO - I roll out to Nov as towards the expiry date it got fairly close to the strike price, 2 days after rolling the market gives me an opportunity to exit with profit. I closed it and the profit is higher than my original entry due to volatility, I didn't reopen as I wanted to margin to be back to the account.
  2. I entered extra options on $C and $CAMT. For $C I had shorted the counter at $42.x but was too conservative over the sell put strike price. Nevertheless I covered the short units around $41.x and closed the sell put when the price is closer to the $42. Resulting in overall profit of about 3 times the original sell put premium.
  3. All of my $TDOC options are closed and short covered. Extra short units are covered as well. No inventory left for now. Wait for the next opp.
  4. $SE a disappoint that sent it all the way down, I choose to roll out further away for now, see if price recover and stabilize more before deciding what to do next.
  5. As Aug is filled with volatility, if there are options that I can roll out to a further date I will do that for now.

$PLTR share buyback when price ran up?
Is there something brewing? Does not sound right to me. Don't companies do share buyback when share price is low. Why is this the opposite? Can anyone share your thoughts.
post media

They announced a repurchase program on Aug 8. Not bought a 100 mil dollars in shares on Aug 8. A repurchase program gives management the ability to buy back shares in the future. Usually with in the next few years.

Now whether they will be effective with the share buyback is another question
