Micro & Small Caps
Are micro & small caps making a lasting comeback? Since the June "bottom" (bottom so far) some have done phenomenally well. I don't know what's to come, but each of these companies has earned my doubling, tripling and quadrupling down:

*Not advice * I own a sizeable % of each in my own portfolio.

Been experiencing the same in my portfolio. $MVIS reports earnings today, excited to hear some updates!

OK Fine, Another Buy
Couldn't pass up buying more $HLGN today -- really like this company.

Down 10% on extremely low volume. Lowered my cost basis to $3.00/share.

Any other Heliogen owners here?

1 Buy I'm making right now (High Risk)
1 Buy I am made yesterday (before going back to taping my hands) was $HIPO. Here's why:

This stock has rightfully been punished hard since becoming public via a SPAC merger last summer. It's down 92% from its NAV price of $10 pre-merger. However, with a book value of under 1.5, cash runway through 2024 and valued at ~$450mm, I am doubling down on my beaten down position.

Cost Basis is now ~$1.5/share. We'll see what happens from here, but I think the bears have beaten this company down long enough.

🫡 Best of luck. Nice that they’ve got a good cash runway. A favorable turn in the macro environment could have you sitting pretty. But like you said— still high risk.

Taping My Hands
I have no clue what the market is going to do in the long term, the next month, or even this week. But my portfolio is now up ~19% in 5 business days and all I want to do is buy up the Limit Orders (at much higher prices now) before they get higher... So, I'm taping my hands to my chair and closing my portfolio tab on my browser (browser 1st of course lol). Not healthy.

What are you up to during this seemingly bullish window?

I think most people are watching and not buying because everybody is calling it a bear market rally. Nobody really knows what it is, but history shows the bear markets bottom when people stop believing in the rally's.

Investment Thesis
My investment thesis explained:

TOOLS of discovery
TOOLS of information

Using this thesis to make outsized, concentrated bets on the future of technology and our world. As you all know, $PL leads the way for me.

But I also do a fair bit of angel investing, and that's where this thesis really is taking shape in the form of MSBAI (digital engineering simulations) and Cityzenith (digital twin data gathering and optimizing).

1/ Investment thesis I've been building for awhile now: TOOLS Tools enable our curious, our creative, our innovators. @wolfejosh had this exceptional thought exercise in his conversation w/ @DKThomp about imagining Steve Jobs w/out the microchip: https://t.co/VpJ1fSegZC

Why & What I am Buying
While the world ends, it feels like a once in a decade opportunity to buy the next generation of companies. But when? I have no idea. So I've been steadily DCA'ing as best I can.

#1 is of course $PL. I am a huge believer in what Planet is building and doing. Their market is incredibly diverse, as they can observe the entire planet from above and in almost any condition. War, agriculture, counterintelligence, energy, fund managers, data gathers. Planet can help all of them.

My other top exciting companies:
$DM -- onshoring manufacturing and the rise of "American Dynamism" (coined by Katherine Boyle at a16z) is coming. $DM is a major player.
$STEM -- maximizing energy efficiency is going to be paramount in the years to come. The leader in energy storage at present.
$EVLV -- security screenings are incredibly outdated and frustrating. At the same time, we all want to feel safe when we go out in public. Evolv solves both problems simultaneously and Evolv Express makes it incredibly affordable.
$HLGN -- I believe Heliogen will become a leader in solar energy for industrial uses. Capable of producing the high temperatures needed, their tech will help companies replace fossil fuels with solar energy.
$DNA -- Synthetic biology (especially for industrial use) sounds incredibly difficult. But with their ever-expanding partnerships I believe Ginkgo is at the forefront of this frontier. Skeptical at first, and dismissive of their valuation, it's becoming a major holding for me over the past 2 months.
$TWST -- One of $DNA's partners, Twist is enabling companies all over the biotech landscape to continue and expand their research with their synthetic DNA products. Valuation was terribly expensive, but is now very appealing.
$JOBY -- I am so tired of sitting in traffic. Can we all get a little closer to flying around and less driving?? I believe Joby is leading the EVTOL race, and has some of the best engineers to expand their business.
$GTLB -- Pure play that makes it easier for developers to do their work securely. Since becoming public they have not disappointing. Company is performing well, stock is dropping. What's not to like for a long-term holder?!

Uh oh... most of these are deSPACs... am I doomed?

Awesome list and I love how you accompanied each with a little recap. These are very moonshot-type investments and I've been intrigued by similar ones and some heavily beaten-down biotechs but have put almost all my fresh capital into bigger, proven winners like $SHOP $CRWD $TTD... Would you build an entire portfolio out of companies like you've listed here or is this a basket that makes up a portion of your larger portfolio?

For the first time in a long time, Datadog is looking very appealing again. CB still sitting just over $30, but the valuation is way better now at $80. Company is performing top 99% of SaaS right now, imho.

What do you think?

Several moves, and appealing watchlist
$TTD became much too appealing to pass up today. Also increased my position even further in my single highest conviction company, $PL

$APPN also moved way up my watchlist to #1 right now. May likely be my next buy.

I have a very strong urge to add to TTD as well. Just not ready to deploy what little cash I have remaining, but some reallocation may be in order soon.

Any fellow $EOSE holders following the massive day for the company? Cannot find much news, but up 57% and 8x normal volume. Huge buying blocks.

we followed it until recently - but on the short side

Iceberg closed their very successful $EOSE short just a few weeks ago (plunged 90% since they published a short call)

Making Moves
Made quite a few moves today in my portfolio. Only additions, no sells.

$DNA -- loved their earnings.
$IONQ -- great report as well.
$REE -- getting ready for commercialization.

How did you originally hear about REE Automotive?
I had no idea what they did, but I looked them up after seeing your post and looks like their an Israeli company that does some pretty cool automotive manufacturing using robots? Is that right?

Found a cool video about them here:
