Nokia - Div restore
Things are brewing in Feb 2022 when they started sharebuy back. Finally there is declaration of div these few days. Good thing, I kept buying into it when it hits a price that I accept. I hope light will shine brighter each day for them as it goes.
Nokia is one of my biggest regret as an investor. Started investing in Nokia a bit before the WinPhone-play. The stock price went down the hill quarter after quarter, but I was so convinced by my thesis that I kept averaging down, and I arrived to have an exposure of around $60k

It was very hard to keep that investment, and on the day Microsoft confirmed the acquisition of the smartphone unit, the stock jumped, and I sold everything for a small profit.

I love that company, but I will now stay far away cause I don't want bad memories in my portfolio 😭

Upcoming Earnings Calendar (Jan 31st- Feb 4th)
Hey guys!

Here's the earnings calendar for next week! Here's what I'm interested in:

  • $XOM - Insights on the global oil market.
  • $GOOG - Strength of the digital ad market + growth of YouTube (since $NFLX slowed down).
  • $FB - Comments on their strategy to monetize Whatsapp (I don't expect any, but one can hope).
  • $SPOT - They recently expanded to other markets, so maybe they can maintain accelerated growth, unlike Netflix.
  • $AMZN - AWS and Advertising segment growth + impact of the increase in 3P fees.

What are you looking forward to next week?

If you'd like an easier way to track earnings dates, you can automatically sync your portfolio's earning dates to your personal calendar with just a couple of clicks here.

GSAT Partnerships
Even though GSAT has been on a spree announcing partnerships lately, I think they will expand the $NOK partnership to include more product and service offerings.
