Datacenter REITs
Anyone looking at datacenter reit's. $DLR paying 4.5% yield, 52 week low. Good tailwinds, data explosion, more co'S moving to hybrid, major SaaS co's moving off AWS, etc to ⬇️ costs. Box did this. how much longer will the $CRWD, $SNOW want to stay on AWS
The insider buying on $DLR is slow. I do like that $META LinkedIn (owned by $MSFT), $ORCL, $JPM, $CMCSA, $VZ, $T, $IBM, and other big companies are all clients. Though the short sellers might think that the big cloud computing companies are stealing business from these database REITs, having your own data center protects you from the outages that AWS and all of these other cloud computing platforms have. Plus, there could be a day where you'll have a cloud computing company wanting to accelerate its data storage capacity and find it more efficient to lease data center space than to build its own.

Jim Chanos Shorts Legacy Data Center REITs
Chanos believes large cloud providers, like $AMZN $GOOGL $MSFT will build proprietary data centers instead of outsourcing for it.

"The real problem for data centre Reits is technical obsolescence. Their three biggest customers are becoming their biggest competitors. And when your biggest competitors are three of the most vicious competitors in the world then you have a problem.”

$EQIX and $DLR both down following his disclosure. Chanos did not explicitly mention which data center REITs he would short.

Chanos is known for sucessfully shorting Enron two decades ago and believes that current market conditions are “very similar to the post-dotcom era.”

at the same time Private Equity is investing like crazy in data centers. Hopefully Chanos is right. Can't stand PE anymore... PE firm 1 levers up a company and buys it with minimal equity, pays down debt with company FCF and then sell it to PE firm 2 for a gain, PE firm 2 does exactly the same and sells it to PE firm 3 and so on, shit's like a pyramid scheme between PE firms at this point

May 2022 Dividend Stock Purchases
Here are the dividend stocks I've purchased so far this May. It can be hard to stay focused with all the red - the important part is to stick to the plan and keep buying the best values you can find! 🐷

Added some $MS, $BLK, $DLR, $O...

True, but you know, goals 😂
I could just as easily list each stocks 52 week high, but that figure too could be years away, given the current situation it’s all a crapshoot.

Or my profit/loss on that position but I’m not sure how helpful that would be.

Suggestions?
