You clicked in here because I said Wine. Admit it. Here’s why:
I love wine. A lot. I love finding new wine. And people love to recommend their favorite wines. But those recommendations are probably only useful if I understand their palate and preferences beforehand.
I love tasting wines recommended by both Jeb Dunnuck and Antonio Galloni, two well known critics who often have overlapping reviews, and comparing their reviews to my own preferences. Over the years it’s shown me that I tend to side with Antonio. That has made it easier to know what to expect when I read both of their reviews and has made it easier to find new wines to enjoy.
So back to investing; Understanding an investor’s thesis helps you better understand their portfolio and trading strategy. You’re Bitcoin HODL and all QQQ? I’ll be curious to read about your investment outlook, but your trades might not be my cup of tea, or glass of Barolo, for this particular portfolio. Just as what I’m doing here may or may not align with your particular goals.
So, an important underlying understanding is that the account linked here is only money that I don’t want to keep in a savings account. I can’t stand the idea of .06% return.
My main goal with the portfolio listed here are twofold:
Beat Savings Accounts Rates/ Beat Major Indexes
Maintain/ Trade on Initial Capital and Maintain Liquidity
I’m not shooting for the moon here. I prefer to trade on price targets more than timelines. I will rotate out of positive positions to put gains in less risky areas. I will target battered sectors with low downside risk. I’ll take losses if I find stocks with more positive upside. You’re not going to find flashy picks here. But you’re going to find picks that aim to steadily beat the market and trades that reflect a healthy appreciation for preservation of initial capital to maintain liquidity. Who knows when I’ll need this money to buy a couple bottles of wine?
Cheers!
