$PYPL says it is not pursuing a $PINS acquisition.

Anyone think another suitor jumps in shortly, or is this a sign $PINS will be going it alone for a while?

$PINS earnings are scheduled for November 4th.

Considering the price reaction that $PYPL had, I'd say if another company were to swoop in, they'd have to be getting $PINS for a lot cheaper.

@josh Good point. The market reaction didn’t exactly instill confidence in interested CEOs

Makes me wonder what is going through Evan Sharp's head right now.

(Sharp was Pinterest's chief design officer and a Pinterest co-founder. It was announced he was leaving Pinterest on Oct. 14th to join LoveFrom, Jony Ive's new company. Sharp is still on Pinterest's board)

@nathanworden Agreed. Once the PayPal rumor surfaced, I assumed that the departure was somewhat related to a disagreement surrounding acquisition talks, but who knows

@iangray yeah now I am more unsure that it was related to the acquisition and more likely that working with Jonny Ive was the big draw. Just shows how much we don’t know 🤷‍♂️
