Is anyone else confused about the TicketMaster saga with Swifties not being able to purchase tickets?
From what I have read, there were two million tickets sold and twelve million people who weren't able to buy tickets.
I am assuming there are only a limited number of tickets to go around. Did everyone expect to get tickets or something?
Seems like TicketMaster who is owned by LiveNation Entertainment is getting a lot of heat for this. Their stock is down 6% today. Could be a buying opportunity if the stock continues to drop.
Great Update below from Roman:
As far as I understand the majority of tickets are in the hand of resellers already, it has been the case for a while now for Ticketmaster tickets, but the popularity of Taylor Swift made it more obvious than ever and it's infuriating the real fans/buyers.
Ticketmaster has been happy to double dip for a while by charging fees to resellers when they buy and when they sell through their website. It's time to reign over Ticketmaster obvious monopoly abuse.
