This is great news. As an $AAPL shareholder, I love to see the company making it even easier to stick within the ecosystem.

My sister just took her iPhone in for a $130 screen repair. My reading of this news is that it just keeps Apple a more official part of the repair process—apparently this is really meant for "individual technicians" and less for average customers who they suggest should still bring their devices in for professional repair, though I'm interested to see just how easy they make this.

Our SMIF just decided to take some profit on our longtime $AAPL position, but we're definitely keeping the large majority of it after a rebalance.
