It took me years to understand that selling a stock for a gain is just as hard and even at times harder than identifying a good company to invest in

You have to be fully in tune with the future potential or lack there of and the opportunity cost involved - not easy to do

A sell for me that was difficult but necessary to make was $BABA many months ago.

What was the hardest sale for you recently?

I’m not at ease with selling especially at selling if it’s for a loss.

This might be a negative for me in the long term, but I’m trying to monitor it and be conscious about holding “losers” when I think they just might be mediocre winners

Time will tell

I did sell $SGC for a small profit (still got sell puts) because I thought with all the problems in the world (including supply chain) they will miss earnings and might not be able to execute for a few quarters or longer

Hate to play macro game, but I thought about it it made sense to me and I sold

Will be interesting to check my feelings on the day of the earnings

Might sound odd, but savings bonds.

Had been holding them for three decades. Interest rate on them was almost 6%.

Selling them felt like slaughtering an endangered species.

$AMC I got in at $12.50 a share and within a couple of weeks it was $50 a share.

With a meme stock all the fundamentals go out the window and it’s all about retail investor sentiment is the FOMO going to continue and push it to $GME heights or will people get scared and sell off

Oddly it was very easy to buy basically done on a whim but I found it very difficult to sell as I didn’t want to be that person that sold before it shot up into $200-$300 a share

In the end I sold for $45 a share which is still a 300% profit and looking at its share price since I feel justified in selling.
