The recent events proved that bank stocks, by many considered to be the core of value investing - may in fact be too expensive even at low multiples :)

The regulations allow HTM to be reported at cost, that means the multiples of many banks are simply misleading. This is very bad regulation, it hides the issue until the banks explode.
