I will always take the risk of being wrong over the long term (following fundamentals) over the relief of selling to feel that I am right (following price action) over the short term

If you can set up your life such that you're not in constant need of spending money, it becomes pretty clear that large spending events don't happen very often. Selling to feel you're right, but not for when you need the money— ends up being pointless.
