$MSFT Microsoft held a Microsoft Build developer conference yesterday, with a number of interesting announcements. Let's have a look at them:

1: $MSFT Bing will become ChatGPT's default for web browsing. All ChatGPT users will now be provided real-time answers from web.

Microsoft will also adopt same open plugin standard as OpenAI, enabling interoperability of the same plugins for Bing, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilots.

2: $MSFT introduced Windows Copilot, an AI assistant integrated into Windows 11 that will help you become a power user of Windows. It provides personalized answers, can change Windows settings when prompted, and works with 3rd party apps (such as Spotify)

3: $MSFT introduced new Azure AI Studio.

Developers can now build and train their own LLM models, or utilize models from OpenAI, Hugging Face and others in order to gain insights from their own structured and unstructured proprietary data, in a safe way.

4: $MSFT introduced Microsoft Fabric, a new data analytics platform. It integrates multiple SaaS offerings into one unified platform with an aim to eliminate data silos and promote data sharing within organizations.

The concept $MSFT is taking is a very similar one to Databricks (Lakehouse)

Organizational data is hosted on OneLake, $MSFT's unified foundation which provides a "single source of truth" and reduces needs to replicate, move and extract data.

I think the last one is the most interesting announcement of the event, and I'm yet to evaluate what's the impact on $SNOW in this regard.
