SHOOT YOUR SHOT! 🎯

Will “Generation Alpha” (humans born after 2010 i.e after Gen-Z) care more or less than Gen-Z?

If less, then they look like Boomers and Millennials are the peak for this bell curve. Would make sense~Gen-X & millennials are solving problems boomers created🙄

I'll also go with Generation Alpha caring less about companies to take a stand. But will need to consult with my niece 😄

This graph feels inherently flawed: Gen Z cares substantially more than previous generations at a collective or tribal level in almost every meaningful way that equity disparities present themselves and ethical considerations are swept under the rug, while simultaneously being borderline nihilistic in their distrust of anything that feels institutional. They find millennials boring and gullible, having watched them insulate themselves while quietly cleaning up a mess made by boomers, as those same boomers mocked those same millennials’ thin skin and denied their reality. Small, transparent organizations and trustworthy figureheads are the seaworthy ships and captains that can navigate Gen Z. “Generation Alpha” are the children of Millennials (who are the children of boomers), just like Gen Z are the children of Gen X (which makes SO much sense), so I expect a pivot back toward skeptical institutional trust, but with non-traditional institutions.

It definitely seems counterintuitive that Millennials "care more" than Gen Z. Perhaps it's because Millennials have more firsthand experience in dealing with corporations? Both as consumers and employees.

A lot of Millennials graduated/entered the workforce around 2008. I think that's part of it, @pat_connolly. Oh this topic couldn't be more timely with generations of family and friends scheduled to gather tomorrow...!
