As a football fan, it would a disaster if they allow the sale to go through. No country should be able to own a football club (yes that incl PSG, Newcastle as well).
@couch_investor unfortunately I don’t think that will change anytime soon without government intervention. Germany has the 50 + 1 rule ensuring a private investor can never own the majority of the a club. With most premier league clubs already privately owned my guess is the owners will aim to keep it that way.
@couch_investor little rich coming from a Chelsea fan when Russian oligarchy money run your club for 15+ years. Russian govt surely have their hands in any Russian billionaire’s business. If you argue Roman wasn’t involved with the dealing of the Russian govt then I think the same argument can be made for Sheikh Jassim.
