A neat piece of NYSE paraphenalia
My dad was a trader (sported a snazzy purple trading jacket) on the floor of the NYSE for close to 30 years, maybe even more. I know he started in the mid- to late-70s and worked until a few years after 9/11. Can't ask him details though since he passed away about a decade ago, before I was really into investing and would've found his work history incredibly fascinating. However, I was just going through some old VHS tapes and I realized he had been writing what was on each VHS tape on the back of his old bought/sold cards from his days on the floor.

I blacked out his name but otherwise thought it was neat. This unused card is from 1980, before Paine, Webber, Jackson & Curtis reorganized into just Paine Webber.

If anyone's curious about the history of the trading floor pit, FLOORED on YouTube is a really good doc about it.
