Underappreciated stocks
What stock do you hold (ideally greater than $1b market cap) that you feel is not discussed enough? Whether it be here, Twitter, or wherever you consume your stock news.

For me, it's probably $GFL. All the dividend guys love the big three ($WM, $WCN, $RSG), but GFL is following the same basic "grow by acquisition" playbook that built WM, has been increasing their dividend slowly, but consistently, and imo has the most room for both stock appreciation and dividend growth in the sector, yet you almost never hear about it. Even on seeking alpha, every $PLTR article gets 25-75 comments, and there are multiple articles a week. Very little activity on GFL, and even less discussion when someone does do the research.

I'm planning a lengthier post about them to help spread the word, but I'm wondering what other stocks are out there that I'm missing simply because no one is talking about them!

@rpinvestments well $BLD is definitely underdiscussed, because that's a new ticker to me to dig in on, but I definitely think $POOL gets its fair share of discussion on fintwit, especially from the compound bros becuase of its out performance for such a long period of time. $YETI is an interesting one, I've never been able to value it because while I understand the biz, I have no desire to pay the premium for those products, so I don't understand the moat and the long term view, personally

@capisce_capital let me know what you think about BLD are you look into it

I looked at GFL, but their leverage made me uncomfortable

@stonkmetal I think that's just the garbage industry, tbh. Their debt to equity is 155%, $WM is 200% lol and $RSG is 127%. They are the only ones with total LTD > revenue, but RSG is almost 1:1 on that metric and I don't think growing as quickly/aggressively.

Its a very capital intensive industry, and they are largely using debt to tuck in acquisitions - whether they're overpaying or not, that's a different conversation lol but happy to break down the industry if you're curious! Spent a few years in this sector šŸ˜

@capisce_capital I might come back to that offer!

@stockopine I know of $KLAC just from the stance that I've looked into semis before, but don't know much about them specifically, so you may be right on that one. Definitely right on $NVS, I'm unfamiliar with that name entirely

@capisce_capital we have a write-up on both companies if you are interested. And you can start with $NVS which is new for you :) it also pays a good dividend.

Two that come to mind are DigitalOcean $DOCN and Novocure $NVCR.

Both have market caps > than $1B and nobody seems to be talking about either of them!

$DOCN is serving up cloud infrastructure to SMBs that are too tiny for $AMZN and $MSFT to worry about. $NVCR is treating cancer and extending life expectancy with tumor treating fields and recently shared very positive lung cancer data. Their Optune Lua could 2x or more their potential patient population.

@tomato interesting choices! I have actually heard of $NVCR, there is an account or two on Twitter who are very bullish, and I actually own $DOCN, partially because we use it at work haha

@astronautwizard I may be biased, as it's a top position for me, but I think $PLTR is the opposite of an undercovered stock haha its a very polarizing one, as people either love it or hate it. I'm a big fan though!
