New Video from Ray Dalio
Ray Dalio believes the world is changing in big ways that haven’t happened before in our lifetimes, but have many times in history.

This is a well done 45 minute video—
If you don't have time to watch the whole thing, here's Ray's simplified prescription for what we need to do individually and collectively to stave off decline:

1) Earn more than we spend
2) Treat each other well

Absolutely invaluable. 45 minutes of simple concepts and knowledge to develop a greater understanding of the changing world order and its history. Challenging us to reflect as well as think about the future ahead. 45 minutes and free.

Think about it:
This is something college will do for an entire semester and thousands of your dollars.

@acb123 It is pretty crazy to consider that, from a certain perspective, the most relevant information is free, and the most outdated information is tens of thousands of dollars 🙃

@nathanworden That's so true. I am really interested (and weirdly excited) to see how college is valued and structured 10-20 years down the road. But in regards to this video, like you just mentioned, this IS the most relevant information. Everybody should take the time to check it out.

Thanks for sharing, certainly makes you reflect on current events and what may be ahead.

@nano_uru yes Dalio’s thoughts feel even more melancholy and imminent than normal.

Thanks for sharing @nathanworden! Can't help but wonder if there isn't merit to the argument that Bitcoin (or some crypto currency) could replace the dollar as the next global reserve currency. Has anyone else has this thought?
Nathan Worden's avatar
@markpaddey The shift from one global reserve currency to another is the stuff that makes history books— massive, world-changing stuff.

I don't want to make huge predictions here, but the fact that Bitcoin has become a part of the reserve currency conversation is notable. However, most experts I've heard talk about this tend to say it's too early for serious consideration.

@markpaddey I have definitely had that thought
