May Watchlist Update
Finally got a chance to update my watchlist for May. No changes in my Taxable Watchlist. However, I had some changes in my Roth IRA Watchlist. There was some slight shuffling in scores in my healthcare and defense holdings. $MRK is added to the Watchlist for what I believe is the first time.

Taxable
Goal - to track companies in sectors I will most likely sell out of that have higher rankings than current holdings.
I am currently less than 1% weighted in $FUN, $CRON, $BUD and $O. Therefore, I am tracking companies in Entertainment, Sin Stocks and Real Estate. I currently do not have anything in my watchlist tied with or better than $O, so I do not have this sector represented in this iteration of my Watchlist.

For reference:
  • S&P Price Gain 1 Year is +2.49%
  • S&P 3 Year is +46.24%.
  • Portfolio Average Yield is 2.91%
  • Portfolio 95th Percentile Yield is 5.85%

No changes from April.

Summary & Commentary
If I were starting new positions now, below are my Top 3 for each portfolio:

Roth IRA
  1. $TPR - Highest rated company in watchlist and in a target sector
  2. $CWEN.A - Higher dividend yield, but still a safe payout ratio compared to other Utilities
  3. $GD - Higher dividend yield than $LMT with lower share price and similar payout ratio

Taxable
  1. $RICK - Highest rated of my target sectors above
  2. $FWONA - I am willing to trade higher P/E for a dividend and an organization expanding globally - especially in the US
  3. $HIBB - Not a target sector, but highest rated company in watchlist. I also saw my first Hibbett store on my drive to our vacation last week, which was cool after doing some research on the company the past few weeks.

As always, I appreciate any thoughts in the comments!
