Great video on why Hotels aren't threatened by the rise of Airbnb: https://youtu.be/-IdQ0sXCbxE

Until I watched this video, I had no idea that most hotel chains today are operating on an asset-light business model, much like what $ABNB utilizes.

I personally can't see hotels ever going extinct because they have a much different offering than what companies like Airbnb & VRBO are offering.

As a commenter on the video said, "airbnb isn't messing with the hotel industry, they are messing with the housing prices."

Thoughts?

We believe that the offering is different, and each guest has to weigh the pros and cons before booking a hotel or $ABNB. Do you just want to relax, stay indoors, have best in class services and enjoy the facilities? Then hotel would be your choice. It all depends.
