Fastly ($FSLY) showing signs of life?
They first began reporting RPO in Q4'20. It was $155.3M. After Q4'21, it was $152.3M. RPO was down 2% YoY. And it's not like revenue was on fire, as revenue growth decelerated YoY in Q4'20 from 34% to 18% in Q4'21. Fast forward to toward, with a new CEO in place (Todd Nightingale took over the helm on Sep 1, 2022), and RPO seems to be taking off. RPO jumped 30% in Q4'22 to $198.3M and just yesterday Fastly reported Q1'23 RPO of 54%, to $242.4M. Perhaps this is a sign of good things to come, such as a return to 30%+ annual revenue growth.

I sold my Fastly shares at $18.66 on 4/12/22. A little over a year ago so it doesn't show up here.

Regarding the Remaining Performance Obligation; since RPO is the sum of the invoiced amount and the future amounts not yet invoiced for a contract with a customer— do they talk about how
much churn there is (causing the remaining obligation to fall to 0?)

Let's hope! Management has also signaled an improvement in losses compared to last year. I still own my $FSLY shares. Just imagine what those kind of revenue numbers would do to the share price! 🚀

Interesting company so hated but might actually be an interesting setup on the risk/reward principle.
